Holiday News

Hello family, friends, and readers--

A few odds and ends as I clean out the 2023 files and start wrapping presents. What a wild ride this last six months has been! 😅 And I thought teaching was demanding. Looking ahead...

The narration is 99% finished on the audio production of Ace on the Hill. It's certainly an "experience" to hear someone else (especially a professional) reading my words--and those of my characters--out loud. Hats off to Luke Welland for an excellent job in making this story come to life👏. I'll let you know more about pricing and availability in my next post. The reason I mention this is that a few of you have reached out, letting me know you're holding out for an audio version. No worries. For now, I'll just suggest you have your iTunes or Audible app ready.

Also, I'm pleased to share that I've completed my free book 📕 giveaway in conjunction with Written Word Media. Congrats to Giana, Mindy, Tiana, Claire, Samantha, Brandi, Emily, Marina, Emily, and BJ! I'll be sending out your signed paperback copy of Ace on the Hill right after the holidays. If you still haven't found the time to read or purchase my book, or you have someone who's expressed interest in checking it out, well, good news: I'll be running another free book promotion in early January. Yes, the spirit of giving will continue even as the calendar turns to 2024! 🎉 There's a generous side behind the facade of this relentless marketer! In return, all I kindly ask is that you leave a review on either Amazon, Goodreads, or Barnes & Noble.

Turning to my other project, Fatherland, my partners and I have completed six episodes on Kindle Vella. From what I hear, it's a bit of a foreign concept to even a more seasoned reader. How to to explain? It's similar to a dramatic television series that builds from one brief episode to the next (and yes, it's only on available in a digital format on Kindle). If that's a bridge too far, our goal is to develop this story into a historical fiction novel by spring.

Well, that should more than cover it for now. I hope you and your families have a safe and happy holday season. As always, I truly am grateful for your support!

Cheers!

JCW
